One of a pair specially commissioned for 'The View' exhibition, which took place in the Spring of 2003. This is a section of Hill Rise as seen from the slope by Petersham Road. Its a wintery scene of a part of Richmond that has recently been going through constant change, with shops closing down at a startling rate. Since this scene was drawn, the original white railings - that have been in place since the buildings on that side of the road were demolished, have been pulled down and replaced.
