Traditional Properties

There is a certain type of person who takes on an older property – it’s not for the faint-hearted but fortune favours the brave. While there are opportunities to preserve, restore and rescue, there are also opportunities to rethink, reconfigure and most importantly augment a building for living in the 21st century.

Over the last few years I have consulted on an increasing number of projects consisting of the restoration of derelict properties joyously witnessing them become homes again – some for the first time as they began their existence as stables or estate yard buildings.

It’s a very organic process but I can be there from the beginning of the project, help you consider every detail, address layout and use of space and achieve a unique and characterful home, nestled in its surroundings, sympathetic to its heritage but still feeling like it is in a new chapter.
